this is not a “new year, new me” email

Happy New Year, Reader!

I was mostly quiet in 2025. Not because I didn’t care. Not because I ran out of things to say. But because it was a hard year for me personally and professionally.

Living with a genetic disorder and chronic pain means some seasons require more energy just to exist. Add in a tough economy and a business that serves other people, and I had to make some real choices about where my capacity went.

Email did not make the cut.

But here’s the important part. I did not disappear. I regrouped.

I spent a lot of time doing what I help my clients do. Stepping back. Looking at what was actually working. Letting go of what wasn’t. Rebuilding systems so they supported my life instead of draining it.

Strategy helped me:

  • rethink how I run my business
  • clarify which services actually matter
  • simplify how we work with clients
  • clean up processes that had gotten messy
  • redesign this newsletter so it has a purpose again

That’s why my word of the year is arrival.

Not reinvention. Not hustle. Not starting over.

Arrival, as in:

  • I know what I’m building
  • I know how I want my business to support my life
  • I’m done forcing systems that don’t fit
  • I’m showing up with clarity, not noise

This newsletter is part of that arrival. You won’t hear from me just to hear from me. You’ll hear from me when there’s something useful, grounding, or clarifying to share.

And strategy is still the foundation of all of it.

If your business feels loud, scattered, or heavier than it should right now, that’s not a motivation issue. That’s a clarity issue. And clarity is something we can fix.

If you want help regrouping, resetting, or deciding what actually matters next, you can book a Strategy Session with us anytime. That is always the best place to start.

I’m really glad you’re here and I’m looking forward to hearing all about what you’ve been up to in your business and how clarity would help you. Hit reply and let me know, I read all of these and reply myself.

Health and happiness in 2026,
Liz

Hi, Reader!A few years ago I had a client come to me who had been in business for three years. She had a lead magnet. She had a landing page. She even had a welcome sequence set up, or so she thought. When we got into the back end of her email platform together, we found opt-in forms pointing to the wrong list. A welcome sequence that had never actually triggered. And subscribers sitting in limbo who had never received a single email after downloading her freebie. Three years of collecting...

Hi, Reader!A few weeks ago, I fell into a TikTok rabbit hole. Someone casually mentioned an “adulting” spreadsheet and suddenly I was questioning my entire life. This woman had a list of things I had either never thought about or very much avoided. For example, did you know front-load washers have a drain tube you’re supposed to empty monthly? Because I did not. She also had basics like testing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, checking appliance ages, and understanding when big home...

Hi, Reader! We’re always so hard on ourselves in January, and a long time ago I decided it should just be a free-trial month. There’s way too much pressure to change by the first day of the month, or the first workday of the month. Even though I had all my holiday decor down and my new year intentions planned by the second, my birthday was the 22nd, we had guests from out of town, and I was recovering from laryngitis. It’s always something! Before we move on from January, I think we need to...
